Create a unique personal journal using
traditional bookbinding techniques. Begin by selecting cover materials from a variety of decorative papers in vivid colors and textures.  Glue paper to the front and back covers. The pages of the book are made from watercolor
paper that are folded and prepared for binding.
The book block is then sewn using “flat back”
and “kettle” stitches. Finish the book by gluing
on inside papers.

Rustic Journal - 10/3/09

Create a rustic book with textured covers
fashioned from polymer clay.  Choose from
a variety of finishes and colors.  The book
block (pages) is made with folded watercolor
paper or card stock.  The spine is sewn using
a 2-needle “coptic” stitch. This class will be
held in El Granada, CA at a private residence.
